Pete is out of surgery and stable. Once he was in surgery they decided to properly clean, wash and explore his abdomen, he would have to be opened completely. They were able to identify a perforation in his lower intestine, temporary close the perforation and wash out his abdomen before he became too unstable to continue. Many thanks to the amazing surgical team that saved his life on the operating room table!
With this surgery we believe we have identified the source of the infection. Pete is facing a long road ahead with several more surgeries and many increased risks the longer he remains in ICU, however I have complete faith that we will make it.
Your continued prayers and support are greatly appreciated!

ReplyDeleteJeremy looked at the number of "Total pageviews" and said, "Wow that's a lot of views!" He was trying to figure out if it was part of an ad or what. It is pretty incredible. That just shows how far spread the prayer request has been spread!
